When to Pay the Rent

Your rent must be paid in full on or before the first day of each and every month. Please call your Resident Manager if you have any questions about paying rent.

How to Pay the Rent

You can pay your rent to the Resident Manager in your building. You can pay the rent by personal cheque, certified cheque or by money order. If you are paying by cash, payments must be made at the homeEd Corporate Office during regular office hours. homeEd's Corporate Office is located at 11604 145 Street in Edmonton. The telephone number is (780) 474-5706. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

After the 1st day of the month, personal cheques will not be accepted. Payment must then be made by certified cheque, money order or cash.

The return of three (3) rent cheques by your bank or financial institution within a one year period will require you to pay your rent by guaranteed funds only.

Additional Charges

A $35 late payment charge will be added to your account for rent payments made after the first day of the month. An additional $20 fee will be charged to your account for returned cheques.  Charges are subject to change without notice.

If you can't pay the rent

We want you to keep your home! If you are having trouble paying your rent, contact your Resident Manager right away. He or she will instruct you on what you can do next.

When two or more persons are the registered tenant and occupy the same premises, homeEd may collect the full rent from either of the persons.

Late or Unpaid Rent

You are required to pay your rent in full on or before the first day of the month unless some other arrangement has been made in advance with the Landlord. Late or partial payment of rent is a breach of the Residential Tenancy Agreement and will result in you receiving a Notice of Termination of Tenancy
